County Vice-Captain Alex Glennie qualified for the matchplay in the Scottish Seniors at Deeside. Narrowly defeated by Suzanne Cadden (Cardross) in the 1st round she reached the final of the second Flight (Plate) event but lost to Kathleen Sutherland (Royal Montrose). Alex has been selected as 3rd reserve for the Scottish team to play in the European Senior Ladies Team Championships in the Netherlands on 2nd - 5th September. Congratulations, Alex.

FASHION SHOW A most successful fashion show was held in the Walker Hall, Troon on 9th April. Fashions were shown by Lady Par and Jesse Young with gifts provided by Scentsations of Troon. A total of £3500 was raised. Many thanks to all who purchased raffle tickets and supported a most enjoyable evening.

HELEN HOLM Two of our squad, Lesley Hendry and Rachael McQueen played in the Helen Holm (Scottish Strokeplay) Competition over Portland and the Old Course, Troon on 25th to 27th April. Lesley came in with a very creditable total of 235 for three rounds while Rachael just missed the cut or the final round by one stroke. Congratulations girls!
